At 19 years old, Ayten Kranat was hired by a famous nature photographer, Ersin Alok. His studio was nestled in the knitted streets of Beyoglu, Istanbul-Turkey. She has lived and worked in some of the most cosmopolitan cities in the world.
“I didn’t know at that time, that I was born with a natural talent. As I grew, so did my expertise with the camera. Eventually, I understood the essence of what it means to be one with your craft. I, from then on, saw the world through a lens, much like a songwriter is forever hearing music”. London, England 1990.
As providence might have it, Ayten began another journey in 2001, with Alan Strutt, a glamour photographer, in London, England. Developing an image archive platform for his and other celebrity photographer’s images
She also worked with Premier Model Management London, for over 10 years. Premier is agents to supermodels such as Naomi Campbell, “there is beauty, excitement and intoxication in everything we see. I want to capture these images for people to cherish forever”. “Attention to detail, and setting goals is intrinsic to meeting the needs of the world of glamour , but a photographer is always creating a desired image, and expected to be creative”. ” That is what I like the most, pushing the boundaries of creativity”.
Ayten’s humble elegance and her worldliness shows in every photoshoot. She is truly a professional and perfectionist.
“In some ways I’m a child, every photoshoot is my first, I’m excited all over again”. Ayten’s husband’s career path brought them to Canada. I never expected Canada to have such beauty and a raw natural setting that continually changes. “Unexpectedly, the move to Canada, has made me want my own studio, I feel like everything is now a new frontier”.
